Whit Whitley

Whit Whitley

A few years ago Moving Pictures had the opportunity to work with William "Whit" Whitley, the Singing Mortician from Kannapolis, NC. The project then was a darkly romantic music video set in 18th-entury France. Now Whit has moved to the Old West, and has invited Moving Pictures to follow him and document his uproarious hijinks in Love Valley for a short film featuring the good guy, the bad guy, and the gun-slinging that rekindles the spirit of a powerful era in American history.

Bongos Ikwue

Bongos Ikwue

Celebrated Nigerian musician Bongos Ikwue came in to Moving Pictures to discuss producing a series of international music videos for his upcoming album, which he'd just recorded at Gat3 Productions next door. Ikwue, a celebrated performer in the 1970s and 80s, left the music industry to pursue opportunities in real estate and furniture manufacturing. After a couple of very successful decades in these fields, he returned to music to produce his latest album. He is especially proud of the latest songs, for his daughter joined him, singing backup on several tracks. The conversation quickly turned from production of the videos to be shot on several continents, to the construction of a full-scale production and postproduction facility in Nigeria. Chris Wilson has pulled materials, gear, equipment and software together and plans to visit Nigeria in the next few weeks to supervise construction of Mr. Ikwue's production house.
